(NewsNation) – Presidential candidate of the Green Party Dr. told “Dan Abrams Live” on Friday that “zombie candidates” from both major political parties are being “shoved down our throats” this election season, causing voters to rethink their November decision.

SAtein believes that the performance of the party’s two main candidates, President Joe Biden and former president donald trumpat the first presidential debate is turning voters away from the two-party system.

Stein, who previously called herself the “pro-worker, anti-war, anti-genocide, climate emergency choice” that Americans want “NewsNation Prime“In May, he did not participate in the debate.

“The American people feel like he was the one who stood outside last night,” Stein said. “They were excluded from this election and they really deserve to know who their choices are and what their positions are.”

Third-party conversion

Stein said the debate is the latest in a long line of traditional partisan disappointments that could send voters elsewhere in November.

“There are a large number of so-called double haters, that is, people who will not vote for either of these two zombie candidates,” Stein said. “So we’ve had a huge amount of interest in our campaign, especially a lot of people who will no longer run for the Democratic Party.”

Double haters” are the constituents who don’t like Biden and Trump but look for the lesser evil when it comes time to vote.

The latest Gallup poll reveals that sentiment is highest among independents, with 75% saying a third party is needed. About 60% of Republicans and a small minority of Democrats (46%) say An alternative must be added.

About 60% of U.S. adults said inGallup PollSince 2013, the Republican and Democratic parties have done “such a poor job of representing the American people” that a third major party is needed.

“That’s what we were fighting for, because we’re already on the ballot, for the majority of voters,” Stein said. “And voters deserve to know information about their candidates. And the debates really should include all candidates eligible to vote.”

Donald Trump, Joe Biden and RFK Jr.

These other candidates eligible for voting include Trump and Biden. Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. not yet qualified to be on the ballot nationwidedespite widespread efforts and litigation.

Stein believes that Democratic Party Interference in the Kennedy campaign is emblematic of the problems presented by the two-party system.

“You know, I think he deserves to be heard. He is on his way to being valid, qualified, so he is a candidate,” she said. “You know, I think our system should present voters with options and allow voters to make their choices.”

After the first debate, critics from various parties question the PresidentJoe Bidenre-election, claiming that his performance was not that of a presidential candidate.

“I felt really bad for him. You know, I felt like it was embarrassing. It was humiliating, you know, I felt worse for him, I think, than anything else,” Stein told Abrams.

But sympathy is not all-encompassing for Stein. She said she saw signs of Biden’s “cognitive problems” four years ago, blaming the Democratic Party for keeping them secret.

“Having protected him until now was a terrible mistake,” she added.

Democratic Party Interference

“This is truly a tragedy for the American voter. It started long before tonight because the Democratic Party actually shut down the democratic process. I would call it the anti-Democratic Party now. Because it kept its own candidates out of the vote,” Stein said.

Stein referenced Kennedy’s switch to the independent party, saying the DNC ensured that “he would also not have an audience at the polls.”

When it comes to his own campaign, Stein stated that the party is “right now advertising for spies and infiltrators for our campaign” as a way of “silencing the competition.”

While Democrats and left-leaning media outlets urge the party to reconsider its candidate, Stein believes the Democratic Party is avoiding responsibility.

“They want to blame someone else. And now they’re blaming Joe Biden, but this catastrophe was actually a matter of their creation,” she said.

The fallout from the debate and the lack of other options in national elections are preventing American voters from choosing a representative, she said.

“So this is really a disaster for the American people,” Stein added. “We deserve to have a democracy, especially at a time like this.”

Economy, education and war

Stein emphasized that bipartisan candidates Biden and Trump are not addressing the issues that voters care about: homelessness, cost of living, student debt and the environment.

“Let me mention that half of our Congressional budget is right now being thrown into this never-ending war machine, which is not making us safer or more secure,” Stein said. “In fact, it is impoverishing us and putting us all in danger.”

Stein is a vocal opponent of US involvement in the Israel-Palestine war and believes that America must respect UN resolutions and the International Court of Justice ruling that the situation in Gaza is a “plausible genocide.”

She was arrested in early May at a pro-Palestine protest, suffering injuries that sent her to an emergency room.

These topics, she said, will not receive adequate treatment on the debate stage unless minor party candidates are allowed to join.

“This needs to be debated. If candidates like me are not in the debate, there will be no doubt, there will be no debate. This needs to be front and center, about our foreign policy, about our health crisis, our housing crisis . , our educational crisis.” Stein said. “The American people deserve to know what’s going on.”
