The family of United States President Joe Biden remains “in” (i.e. supporting) his stay in the 2024 election race, even with doubts about the future of his candidacy, a source said.
“There are no changes. The First Lady is all in. The family is all in [da candidatura]”, highlighted the source.
First lady Jill Biden, the president’s closest confidante, is attending two official White House events in Middleville, Mich., to highlight summer nutrition programs and a Hidden Helpers summer camp for children from military families .
“I’m here today because my husband, President Biden, is helping to alleviate the stress of higher costs for parents in Michigan and across the country,” said the first lady in Middleville.
The first lady is also expected to attend the grand opening of a campaign office in Traverse City with Chasten Buttigieg, the spouse of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
She is expected to travel back to the White House this Wednesday (3) evening.
A former Biden aide says the president and first lady wouldn’t make any significant decisions without consulting each other.
“They do not make significant decisions in any part of their lives without consulting each other. She is a reliable ‘sounding board’ for him, he always wants to know what she thinks, what her opinion is”, pondered the source.
Another former Biden adviser highlighted that any decision about the president’s future would not be made by Jill Biden alone, but rather by the small inner circle of family members — that is, this source said, Ashley Biden, Hunter Biden and Valerie Biden.
Members of the Biden family are expected to be present for the 4th of July festivities at the White House this Thursday (4).
The president and first lady are scheduled to speak together at an event in Philadelphia on Sunday and will spend the rest of the weekend at their home in Wilmington, Delaware.
It is possible that other family members will also join the couple in Delaware.
