The cover of the British magazine The Economist this Thursday (4) makes a harsh criticism of Joe Biden and the Democratic party, showing a walker with the seal of the President of the United States.

“The president and his party portray themselves as the saviors of democracy. His actions say the opposite”, states the website’s version, which highlights that Biden should withdraw from the presidential race.

The news was published a week after the American head of state performed poorly in the CNN against Donald Trump.

The case caused several Democratic party officials to consider asking Biden to withdraw from his candidacy.

Biden says he needs more sleep

In a meeting with Democratic governors, Joe Biden stated that part of his plan is to stop scheduling events after 8 pm so he can sleep more, according to three sources interviewed by CNN.

This came during a meeting with state leaders to address their ability to defeat former President Donald Trump in the Nov. 5 election.

The comment left several governors in the room frustrated, sources told CNN.

Before that, he gave an interview to presenter Earl Ingram, from Civic Media’s “The Earl Ingram Show”.

In a published excerpt of the conversation, the American president states: “I had a bad night. And the thing is, you know, it was – I screwed up. I made a mistake. It’s 90 minutes on stage. Look what I’ve done in 3.5 years.”
