US President Joe Biden said he was “not going anywhere” during a July 4 holiday speech. The speech came after supporters shouted “continue the fight”.
The speech takes place at a critical period for the Democrat’s re-election campaign, as he is questioned whether he is fit to serve another term due to his advanced age.
These doubts became even stronger after a poor performance in the CNN against former President Donald Trump.
Biden appeared to have difficulty speaking at times during the debate, with a weak and hesitant voice. According to sources heard by CNN, he was recovering from a cold. Furthermore, he suffers from a reflux problem.
Biden says he needs more sleep
In a meeting with Democratic governors, Joe Biden stated that part of his plan is to stop scheduling events after 8 pm so he can sleep more, according to three sources interviewed by CNN.
