The President of the United States, Joe Biden, said this Friday (5) that he can still defeat Donald Trump in this year’s presidential election, scheduled for November 5.
When boarding “Air Force One”, the US Presidential plane, for a trip to Wisconsin, Biden was asked if he could defeat his rival.
“Yes,” he replied.
When asked if he was ready for today (in reference to the ABC interview), Biden gave a thumbs up before climbing the steps to the plane.
He ignored a question about whether it was time to quit.
The Democrat struggles to overcome his poor performance in the House Debate CNN last week and even greater questions about his suitability for the role due to his advanced age.
Crucial interview
Biden will meet with Democratic voters during his trip to Madison, Wisconsin.
In addition, he will be interviewed by ABC News, as part of a series of events aimed at showing Americans that he still has the ability to run against Trump.
Although Biden insists he will remain in the race and that his health is not failing, he is under enormous pressure to step aside and make way for his vice president, Kamala Harris.
