The President of the United States, Joe Biden, said this Friday (5), during a rally in Wisconsin, that he remains in the race for the White House and that he will “win again”.
The Democrat said he defeated Trump previously and will defeat him again in 2024.
Biden struggles to overcome his debate performance and questions about his fitness for office due to his advanced age.
He also made direct attacks against Donald Trump, calling the former president “the biggest liar and the biggest threat to our democracy.”
He also stated that the Republican is a “convicted criminal”, recalling the processes that Trump faces in court.
At another point, he highlighted that the 2024 election is about “our freedom and our democracy” and asked supporters “what kind of United States do you want?”
Joe Biden also addressed the United States Supreme Court decision that presidents have immunity for official acts carried out during their terms in office.
The Democrat commented that this sets a “dangerous precedent, especially if Trump is re-elected” and that “presidents are now above the law”.
Crucial interview
During the agenda in Madison, Wisconsin, Joe Biden will be interviewed by ABC News, as part of a series of events aimed at showing Americans that he still has the ability to compete against Trump.
Although Biden insists he will remain in the race and that his health is not failing, he is under enormous pressure to step aside and make way for his vice president, Kamala Harris.
