Former President Donald Trump challenged President Joe Biden to another debate this week, without moderators, while mocking Biden’s performance in the June debate.
“Tonight, I am officially offering Joe the chance to redeem himself in front of the entire world,” Trump said during a campaign rally in Doral, Florida.
“We are going to have another debate this week so that sleepy Joe Biden can prove to everyone in the whole world that he has what it takes to be president, but this time it will be man to man, no moderators, no restrictions, just say the place to anytime, anywhere,” he said.
Trump also mentioned the moment in the debate where Biden and he argued about golf and challenged the president to “an 18-hole round of golf” at Doral.
Golf match and debate
During the debate in CNN, a question about whether Trump or Biden are fit to lead the country has turned into a dispute over who is the better golfer. Trump said Biden couldn’t hit a golf ball into one of the holes, and Biden challenged Trump to a game of golf, but only if Trump carried his own clubs.
Without indicating the vice
The former president continued to create suspense around the vice president’s choice. However, Senator Marco Rubio was present at the rally in Doral.
“I think they [a mídia] They probably think I’m going to announce that Marco will be vice president,” Trump said. “Because there is a lot of press.”
Rubio, one of the main contenders for vice president on Trump’s ticket, spoke earlier at the rally and was in the audience behind the former president.
