Former President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., said Tuesday that he would like to have “veto power” over personnel decisions in a hypothetical second Trump administration.
“I don’t want to choose a single person for a position of power. All I want to do is block the guys who would be a disaster,” Trump Jr. said. interview with Axios’ Mike Allen on the sidelines of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
Allen asked the former president’s son what role he hopes to play in a hypothetical transition between Election Day and Inauguration Day, when, Allen said, “the officials, the appointees and the appointees are chosen.”
Trump Jr. continued: “I want to block the liars. I want to block the guys who are, you know, pretending to be with you. I just want to block the bad actors. I just want to be a block. And that.”
“You choose the guy, that’s right. I want a veto power to eliminate every single one of these people,” she added.
