Investigators involved in searching for the belongings of the shooter who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump discovered a drone among his belongings. According to a source familiar with the investigation, they believe Thomas Matthew Crooks may have deployed the drone to scout the area on the day of the Trump rally.
The theory is that the drone would have given Crooks an overview of the roofs of nearby buildings and how they connect. This could have helped the young man choose the spot where he fired toward the podium Trump was standing at and was injured.
As the investigation continues, authorities will likely examine these newly discovered items for any clues that could help unravel the sequence of events and the suspect’s movements before Saturday’s attack.
New evidence from police sources reveals that the ladder purchased by the young man and a backpack that allegedly belonged to him were located and are in the possession of federal authorities.
A construction worker discovered the ladder on the side of the road outside the rally site, according to law enforcement sources from two separate agencies. The worker reportedly observed the ladder at that location for several days before deciding to turn it over to authorities.
The worker also found a backpack near the stairs, which authorities believe is linked to gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Head movement would have saved Trump in the attack
Former US President Donald Trump claims that he only did not die during last Saturday’s attack (13) because he turned around to read a graphic moments before the shooter fired the shot.
Head movement can be observed through images captured during the event.
