Vice President Kamala Harris has spoken with former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, as well as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to a familiar source.

It was part of the more than 10 hours the vice president spent working the phones Sunday afternoon and evening to drum up support from Democratic leaders after President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 race.

As CNN reported, in less than a day, Harris reached out to more than 100 party leaders, legislators, governors, labor leaders, and leaders of advocacy and civil rights organizations.

In a statement published Sunday, Obama did not support Harris, opting instead to let the partisan process determine the nomination. In contrast, the Clintons expressed their support for the vice president.
