Kamala Harris, Vice President of the USA and tipped to take over the Democratic Party’s candidacy for President, gave a speech to the campaign team this Monday (22), in which she thanked President Joe Biden and took the opportunity to attack Donald Trump.

She acknowledged the sacrifice her colleagues are making, but highlighted that there is more work to be done.

“We are here because we love our country, we believe in freedom and justice. Not for some, but for everyone. We have 106 days until the election and in that period we have hard work to do”, he commented, highlighting: “We will win”.

President Joe Biden was listening to Harris’ speech via phone call. He spoke to the team before the vice president appeared at the podium, thanking his teammates and highlighting that they made the right decision.

She also said it was one of “the greatest honors” of her life to serve as Biden’s vice president. She also commented that the Democrat has always defended what is right.

Harris reinforced that she plans to win the Democratic Party nomination to run in the 2024 election.

“In the days and weeks ahead, I will, together with you, do everything in my power to unite our party, to unite our nation and win this election,” said the vice president.

The Democrat took the opportunity to attack Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s candidate for the White House.

“Predators who abuse women. Cheaters who ripped off consumers. Traitors who broke the rules for their own gain. So, listen to me when I talk, I know Donald Trump’s type”, he pointed out.

After recalling that Trump was convicted in court for falsifying business records, Harris highlighted that the former president wants to take the country “backwards”.

Biden’s legacy is “incomparable”

In another speech earlier, Kamala Harris pointed out that Joe Biden’s legacy as president is “unparalleled in modern history”.

“In one term, he has already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who served two terms,” he commented.

Harris highlighted Biden’s “honesty, integrity, commitment to his faith and his family and big heart” in a brief speech.
