Kerry Kennedy is doubling down on her family’s commitment to supporting President Biden in the November election rather than her brother, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has launched an independent bid for the White House.

“I think this is the most important election of my lifetime,” Kerry Kennedy told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

The Biden campaign expects 15 members of the Kennedy family to support the president on Thursday at a campaign stop in Philadelphia. The Kennedy family has been at odds with RFK Jr. and his campaign, warning that his election would be “dangerous” for the country.

On “GMA,” Kerry Kennedy pointed out the need to elect Biden, saying there is “no competition” when it comes to supporting the president. She praised Biden for “carrying on the legacies” of his father, Robert F. Kennedy, and his uncle, former President John F. Kennedy.

“I think the point here today is to elect Joe Biden. It’s a two-man race. There are only two people in this race who can get 270 electoral votes: Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Joe Biden represents the middle class; Joe Biden built our economy. Under Joe Biden’s leadership, crime has decreased by 10% in recent years,” she said.

“He is an extraordinary leader. He cares deeply. He shares my family’s values. We need every person to vote for Joe Biden. If everyone who can vote goes out and votes, Joe Biden wins. And that’s what we’re here for today,” she added.

Kerry Kennedy is expected to echo those comments in her endorsement of Biden later Thursday.

“I can only imagine how Donald Trump’s outrageous lies and behavior would have horrified my father, Robert F. Kennedy, who proudly served as Attorney General of the United States and honored his promise to uphold the law and protect the country,” said Kerry Kennedy. she said in her endorsement, according to excerpts provided by the Biden campaign.
