US Vice Presidential candidate Senator JD Vance echoed former President Donald Trump’s criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris, saying she is a more liberal candidate than President Joe Biden.
He argued that Biden resigning and handing power to Harris is “fundamentally illegitimate” and that Republicans, on the other hand, “respect the democratic process.”
“I’ve been making this speech to Democratic primary voters: This was fundamentally illegitimate. We really respect that process and we think we should earn your vote, not like throw out a candidate and replace them with someone else,” Vance said in a live interview on Donald Trump Jr.’s podcast.
“Kamala Harris has no democratic legitimacy,” Vance said. “Look at her record, Don. It’s the worst record imaginable,” he added.
Claiming that the media is not interested in focusing on Kamala’s record, Vance said she will be rebranded as a moderate to win over voters in November.
“Kamala Harris, I have to say, is much worse,” Vance said of her liberal views compared to Biden.
“Some of these nonprofit groups that rank who the most liberal senator is, Kamala Harris, consistently the most liberal senator in the entire United States Senate, and now, they’re going to rebrand her as a right-wing Democrat, basically, because this It’s the theory of the case of how they can make it more politically palatable to the general electorate.”, the Republican added.
Vance criticized Harris for supporting an end to fracking and providing universal health care for undocumented immigrants, as well as her policy on the U.S. border.
