Former President Donald Trump said Vice President Kamala Harris was “disrespectful toward Israel” in comments the Democrat made to reporters after a private meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday (25).

“I think her comments were disrespectful,” Trump told Kristen Holmes of CNN, in his own meeting with Netanyahu in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, this Friday afternoon (26).

“They were not very kind towards Israel. I actually don’t know how a Jewish person can vote for her, but that’s their problem,” he commented.

Asked how Kamala’s comments might impact negotiations on a ceasefire agreement, Netanyahu said: “Well, we are trying to get a [acordo]. (…) I hope these comments don’t change that.”

The prime minister highlighted that he hopes that after this trip they will be closer to a ceasefire, but “time will tell”.

“We are certainly looking forward to having a [acordo] and we are working on it”, he highlighted.

Trump pointed out that he does not need to talk about what his working relationship with Netanyahu would be like if he is elected for a second term.

“We had a good relationship. I was very good with Israel, better than any president has ever been,” claimed the Republican.
