The Democratic party will hold a virtual vote between August 1st and 5th to formally choose the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, as its candidate to run for president of the country against Donald Trump in the November 5th election. said the Democratic National Committee (CND) on Tuesday (30).
Kamala was the only candidate to qualify for the Democratic presidential ballot, according to a statement from CND leaders announcing the results of the party’s presidential nomination process.
The CND has committed to announcing a presidential candidate by August 7, well before the party convention that takes place between August 19 and 22 in Chicago.

The expectation is that a candidate for vice president on the Democratic ticket will be announced on Monday (5). According to sources, Kamala Harris plans to hold her first rally with her vice president on Tuesday (6), in Philadelphia. Among the top contenders for the Democratic ticket as with Kamala are Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
