Former President Trump has hit back at Vice President Harris’ campaign for trying to paint his campaign with Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) as “weird,” instead insisting it is the opposite.

Harris’ campaign strategy focuses on controversial statements and comments made by the Republican candidate and his running mate, including Trump’s comments about Hannibal Lecter and Vance’s past comments about those who do not have children.

Fox News’ Laura Ingraham asked the former president in an interview which aired on Tuesday what his response to these attacks was.

Trump responded by saying his critics use “catchphrases” like “Russia, Russia, Russia” and saying he is a “paid associate of [Russian President Vladimir Putin]adding that “these people are crazy.” He then went on a tangent about President Biden’s golf skills.

“And everything about them, look at Biden. He said he’s going to challenge me to play golf. I’m a very good golfer. He’s a terrible golfer. This guy can’t hit a ball from 30 meters,” said the former president.

He then returned to the “weird” comments, saying Harris was the “weird one.”

“Listen, this whole thing is a scam. ‘Just weird.’ You know who’s totally weird? She’s completely weird,” he told Ingraham. “She is a strange person. Look at her past. See what she does.”

“And look at what she used to say about herself, and I’m not going to get into this, what she used to say and who she was compared to what she said as of 2016. She became a totally different person. Just for political reasons,” she added.

Vance also responded to the criticism, saying in a separate Fox News interview that aired Sunday that his feelings were not hurt by the insult.

“Look, the price of admission – that is, the price of serving the people of this country – is that the Democrats are going to attack us with everything they have. I think it’s an honor,” Vance said.
