A GIRL addicted to Yorkshire puddings for seven years has finally eaten a proper meal – thanks to hypnosis.
Tallulah Dent, 11, has been eating six of Aunt Bessie’s simple dishes for dinner every day since she was four.
The young man even ate a plate of crispy puddings on Christmas Day, instead of turkey.
Eventually, Tallulah bravely asked her mother to seek help after she tried a chicken and vegetable dish that left her in tears.
She underwent 12 intense weeks of hypnotherapy sessions and now Tallulah is trying all kinds of new foods.
An emotional Gemma, 41, said: “One day when she came home from nursery she started refusing certain foods.
“She used to eat chicken and that was fine, but one day she refused to eat them because she said they looked different.
“I made everything from scratch for my kids. She ate absolutely everything.”
Now Tallulah, from Staffordshire, is trying new foods after 12 weeks of treatment with hypnotherapist David Kilmurry.
He diagnosed her with avoidant-restrictive eating disorder.
Tallulah said: “I really liked beige food and Yorkshire puddings were my absolute favourite.
“I just couldn’t get enough of them. I still like them, but I also want to try different foods. Now I like peppers and noodles, curry and dried fruit.
“I’ve tried boiled eggs and fried eggs too.”
Hypnotherapist David, who runs clinics in Coventry and London’s Harley Street, said: “Tallulah is a dream to work with.
“She really took to hypnosis well, immediately eating interesting and healthy foods, now showing no signs of ARFID with a free eating, varied and balanced diet, I am honored to have worked with her.”
