A WOMAN claims to have gone to heaven and found God when she fell into a coma after a terrifying near-death experience.

One day, Mariandree Cárdenas was working at home when she felt her throat close up and began to choke.

Her hands began to shake and she felt as if her face was “falling asleep.”

Mariandree realized she could no longer speak.

She managed to send a message to her mother and brother for help, who rushed over and found her unconscious.

The 24-year-old – who was diagnosed with severe asthma as a child – was taken to hospital, where doctors were forced to intubate her and then put her into a coma.

As her body lay unconscious in the hospital bed, Mariandree said her mind was far from still.

“I couldn’t hear much of anything anymore and my body wasn’t responding anymore,” said Mariandree, a graphic designer, What is the jelly.

“The last thing I heard was a nurse or doctor say the phrase ‘she left us.’

“And in the blink of an eye I stopped being on Earth and appeared somewhere else.”

‘A PLACE FULL OF LIGHT’

Mariandree claims that she found herself in “heaven”, a space inhabited by “beings of light”.

The 24-year-old described in detail what she saw, saying: “I appeared in a place full of light but without sun, without moon, without stars, sitting at a long table full of food that I had never seen, full of people who no longer had bodies. human, but they were beings of light.

“No one spoke to each other through their voices, but through their minds.

“That was how I also communicated, but it was normal because for me I always belonged to that place.

“I didn’t remember my past life, nor my family, nor Earth, for me none of that ever existed.

“I experienced the greatest love for all those beings of light, I felt that they were all part of me and I was part of them.”

Exactly what it’s like when you die

YOU wouldn’t be alone in thinking about what it would be like when you died.

Death is something we will all experience someday, but for many of us it feels like the great unknown.

Now a doctor has shared exactly what happens to your body as you slowly walk towards death.

1. Your heart slows down

First, your heart will start to beat more slowly — in turn, your blood will be pumped around your body more slowly and your blood pressure will drop, writes palliative medicine specialist Dr. Kathryn Mannix in Scientific Focus.

2. Your breathing changes

Your breathing will follow automatic patterns generated by the respiratory center in the brain stem, Dr. Kathryn wrote.

It can become heavier and louder – some people lose awareness of their mouth and throat. But this happens without apparent suffering, said the doctor.

You may also start breathing more slowly and shallowly. Your breathing may go from deep to shallow and from fast to slow in repeated cycles.

There may be pauses and eventually everything will come to a halt. Your heart will stop after a few minutes as it will no longer receive oxygen.

3. Moving in and out of consciousness

You’ll spend less and less time awake, says Dr. Kathryn.

It may look like sleep from the outside, but you will gradually return to consciousness over long periods of time as you near the end, perhaps without realizing it.

Dr. Kathryn wrote, “Upon awakening, people report sleeping peacefully without any sensation of having been unconscious.”

Research published earlier this year indicates that you can even enter a meditative state.

Scientists accidentally captured our most complex organ as it shut down, showing a startling snapshot of death.

A patient with epilepsy underwent an electroencephalogram (EEG) before having a heart attack.

This meant that the 15 minutes surrounding his death were recorded on the EEG.

In the 30 seconds on either side of the patient’s final heartbeat, an increase in very specific brain waves was detected.

These waves, known as gamma oscillations, are linked to things like memory retrieval, meditation and dreams.

This could mean – although much more study is needed – that we could see a kind of film reel of our best memories as we die.

The parts of the brain that were activated in this study also suggest that we could enter a peaceful dream state, similar to meditation.

4. You can respond to sound

Researchers think you may still hear sounds in the final moments, despite appearing unresponsive.

Looking at brain activity in coma patients in 2019, they predicted that some form of awareness might be possible in the end.

Although you can hear it, you may not necessarily be able to understand what is happening.

But Dr Kathryn said: “We have no proven way of investigating what people experience during death.

“Recent research shows that even close to death, the unconscious brain responds to noises in the room.

“However, we don’t know how much meaning music or voices make to a dying person.”

Mariandree also claims to have met God in her near-death encounter.

“In front of me was God,” she said.

“I know it was God because he was the biggest light, he was the one who lit up the whole place, I couldn’t see his face, but I knew he was laughing.

“He was very happy and smiling. I was amazed at how much he laughed with everyone.”

The 24-year-old stated that she also spoke to the deity.

“He only paid attention to me and laughed with me, but at the same time he paid the same attention to all the other beings in the place.

“We shared a moment of celebration for my arrival, although I didn’t know I had just arrived, as I didn’t remember my past life.”

The influencer, from Guatemala, said: “I saw the colors around me differently and I have never felt more fulfilled, with so much peace and joy.”

But Mariandree’s magical experience soon came to an end.

“God got up and took me, separated me from the other beings and told me that I had to go back, I didn’t understand and I asked where and why if I didn’t want to leave.

I don’t think it was delusion, I think it was something I had to live because God wanted it that way

Mariandree Cardenas

“He explained to me that I was going to come back, but at that moment I had to come back because it wasn’t my time and I had to come back ‘for love’.”

Moments later, Mariandree came out of her coma.

Although her trips to “heaven” only lasted a few hours for her, it has actually been days since the choking incident.

She said: “For me it was three hours in heaven, but on Earth it was three days.

“One day later, I was able to return home with the necessary rest and care that this entailed.”

I WANTED TO HAPPEN

Doctors believe Mariandree’s near-death experience was linked to her asthma.

She said: “From a young age I was very asthmatic.

“I had very expensive and painful treatments to try to improve my health, but it never worked.

“I spent my entire adolescence in and out of many hospitals because every time I left there was another crisis.

“And my asthma also got worse with any emotional problems I had.

“We looked at all the specialists, but they always said that my case was part of the percentage of people with lethal asthma, where attacks can be fatal.”

Mariandree has since recovered from the incident.

But to this day she still believes she traveled to the afterlife and met God.

She added: “I don’t think it was a delusion, I think it was something I had to live because God wanted it that way.

“He chose me to show me what happens after death, to solve this great mystery.

“I feel like he wanted to spend some time with me and then he gave it back to me.”
