“This is a strategic step towards a strong future for Buca di Beppo,” said President Rich Saultz.

“While the restaurant industry has faced significant challenges, this move is the best next step for our brand,” he continued.

“By restructuring ourselves with the continued support of our creditors, we are paving the way for a reinvigorated future.”

The debtor can continue to operate the business and typically remains in possession of the company’s assets.

When a company files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, it does not affect shareholders’ personal funds.

As previously reported, Buca di Beppo owes at least 30 creditors between $15 million and $50 million.
