SHOPPERS are scouring the shelves for the tasty Costco dessert recently discovered in Texas.
A shopper in Texas spotted a 9-inch golden pudding at her Costco bakery for the first time last week — and now she’s recommending everyone try it.
“Flan at Costco!!!” CostcoHotFinds (@costcohotfinds) wrote on Instagram.
“This pudding is huge – 3 pounds and I bet it can be cut into at least 16 pieces. It’s so good!!!” she said in publish.
The clip showed her grabbing the pudding from a fridge full of dessert and taking it home to try immediately.
Costco fans often post reviews of their favorite items online, especially in the bakery section.
The retailer is famous for offering members-only discounts when purchasing food and bulk merchandise at big-box stores across the country.
“This is the first time I’ve seen pudding at the Costco bakery in Texas, so I hope it’s all over the country,” she said.
Item selection varies at each Costco store, and customer feedback is used to help decide which products will appear in which stores.
“It’s fantastic,” she said.
Viewers can see the shopper’s face light up as she bites into the pudding and eagerly fills another fork.
“It’s soft, light, creamy and one of the best I’ve ever eaten,” he concluded.
The last scene shows the price she paid for the pie – $14.99 plus tax.

FLAN GOES VIRAL
Nearly 50,000 people liked the short video and hundreds left comments in the first week it was published about where to find it.
“Best pudding I’ve ever had – Costco in South Austin had these!” one person posted.
“They have it here in Florida year round and it is far superior to any other supermarket pudding,” wrote a second.
“They have had them for years, although not in all locations,” confirmed another.
But not everyone was convinced that Costco’s take on traditionally Latin American food would measure up.
“It’s overcooked. The flavor is good, just the texture is overdone. You can tell the consistency when it holds that it’s overcooked. There shouldn’t be any holes in it,” one person commented.
“Oh my God!…has any Hispanics had this? Thoughts?” another added.
“Flan is delicious, but no one needs 3 kilos of it,” wrote a third.
What is flan?
Costco customers are licking their lips over this beloved dessert — but what exactly is it?
Flan is a baked cream pie with caramel on top, traditionally made in many Latin American countries and the Philippines, according to The Food Network.
Although there are variations of the dessert recipe around the world, its basic ingredients are the same everywhere.
Pudding is made mainly from milk, sugar and eggs and has a rich flavor and a creamy, jelly-like texture.
It is usually made at home by baking caramel on top of the egg custard before turning the dish over and serving it to guests.
