CONSUMERS have praised a viral Halloween trick from Dollar Tree selling for less than $2.
Shoppers said Dollar Tree’s Ghoul hanging decor is well worth the $1.25 — compared to a similar product at Target that costs $10.
Dollar Tree’s ghoul decor has received several positive reviews, according to Dollar Tree’s website.
“It is very cute and perfect for a small cemetery. I added a stake so it could stand up,” commented one consumer.
So far, the product has received two five-star reviews.
Despite inflation falling 0.1% in June, Americans still feel the need to maintain tight budgets.
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics confirmed the slight drop, announcing a new 12-month inflation rate of 3%.
Consumer prices fell in June but were still up 3% from last year.
In May, the rate remained stable at 3.4%, making this month’s reading one of the lowest in more than three years.
Still, consumers said they were concerned about price increases and many were looking for quality products at affordable prices.
Several shoppers said Dollar Tree has offered a variety of products while keeping its prices attractive.
“Honestly, I’ve been loving the dollar tree $5 aisle, especially the seasonal stuff,” one shopper wrote on Reddit.
“A lot of it is really cute and only costs five dollars. I can’t wait to check it out soon!”
Another shopper said they recently started returning to the retailer because of its affordable price.
“Ooooh and their price! It’s been a long time since I’ve been to the dollar tree. Things were still at 1.25 back then. We might have to take a look at what they added for the new prices,” they wrote online.
However, several competing retailers are selling similar products for the spooky season ahead.

Target’s Mini Light Up Witch Halloween Ghoul is currently selling for $10 online with a 4.6 out of 5 star rating.
“This Halloween hanging decoration features a posable ghoul witch with green fingers, dressed in a tattered black cloak and sporting a light-up face,” the description says. read.
The retailer also stated that its Halloween prop comes with a lanyard for easy hanging.
Still, shoppers said they will continue to visit the discount store until Target can match the significantly cheaper prices.
