In the video, Vivian compares an iconic skincare product, the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Fighting Face Wash, with its Dollar Tree dupe, the Kissable Oil-Free Acne Wash.

The Neutrogena version will cost shoppers $9.49, while the Dollar Tree version costs just $1.25 – saving shoppers $8.24.

However, the Neutrogena face wash is a little larger, coming in at 9.1 ounces compared to its seven-ounce Dollar Tree dupe.

VIVIANA TRY

In the video, Vivian wondered how the idiot could compare to a product that has been around for so long.

I love being bougie on a budget — I hit the jackpot at Dollar Tree with new serums and a “fall vibes” skincare hack

However, she scoffed at the price, which she believed was a bit exorbitant.

“This needs to cost no more than $5.99,” Vivian said.

According to Vivian, all an acne product needs is a dose of salicylic acid and then it should do the job.

After checking both bottles of body wash, she was able to confirm that the active ingredient was indeed salicylic acid.

Both Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne-Fighting Face Wash and Dollar Tree’s Kissable Oil-Free Acne Wash contained two percent salicylic acid.

Vivian then compared the smell of each face wash and found that the scents were comparable.

“They also nailed the smell,” she added.

DUPE OR FLUKE?

Vivian then compared the consistency of the two washes and said that the Neutrogena one was more like a gel, while the Dollar Tree product looked like a traditional soap.

However, the consistency wasn’t enough to stop Vivian from recommending the product.

“I would still say, try this,” she said, pointing to the Dollar Tree face wash.

US Sun reached out to Vivian for comment on her analysis.

Dollar Tree Prices

Despite the store’s name, Dollar Tree has recently added items that cost more than $1 to its inventory.

Most items in the store cost no more than $1.25, but items in the Dollar Tree Plus section cost up to $5.

Dollar Tree introduced Plus aisles at 100 locations in 2019 as part of an effort to diversify its products.

As of 2021, Dollar Tree has added the items to more than 1,500 locations.

“We believe that testing additional pricing above $1 for Dollar Tree products will allow us, over time, to expand our assortments, introduce new products, and better serve our customers’ everyday needs,” President and CEO Michael Witynski said in a communicated. declaration.

“Our brand promise is that customers get great value for what they spend at Dollar Tree. We will continue to fiercely protect that promise, regardless of price.”

ONE DOLLAR FOR YOUR THOUGHTS

Vivian’s viewers and subscribers shared their thoughts on the two face washes in the comments section of her video.

Some loved the Dollar Tree dupe, while others said they preferred Neutrogena’s more expensive face wash.

“I use that stupid acne thing. I don’t have acne. Just very sensitive skin,” one viewer wrote.

“I’ve been using that liquid soap for acne on my face for 5 years. I love it,” added another viewer.

“Dollar Tree Acne Body Wash is the truth, it was only supposed to be a temporary thing, but I was shocked at how it stopped my skin from breaking out,” wrote another viewer.

“They stopped carrying it for a while, but now it’s back and I’m so happy,” they added.

“I tried the acne body wash, not as good as Neutrogena or CVS brand body wash,” another viewer commented.

“Neutrogena is worth every penny!” a subscriber chimed in.

MORE BEAUTY THEFTS

Dollar Tree continues to surprise shoppers by offering quality products from trendy, popular and more expensive items.

Some Dollar Tree enthusiasts are already praising the retailer’s hyaluronic acid hydrating facial wipes.

Some shoppers say it’s “almost identical” to Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Facial Cleansing Makeup Wipes with Hyaluronic Acid.

Another shopper recently found a sucker for Native body wash.

She showed off the retailer’s wide selection of body washes, which included scents like pumpkin spice, a fan favorite for next fall.

As always, everything shoppers found at Dollar Tree started at just $1.25, costing significantly less than their brand-name products.

Despite raising most prices to at least $1.25, Dollar Tree continues to be an affordable place to shop for everyday essentials, including beauty, makeup and skin care products.
