Bice matched all five white balls on the ticket he purchased online from the Michigan Lottery.

As the pot surpassed $1 billion, the lucky winner said he bought more than he normally would.

Bice said he woke up after the draw to check his lottery account and saw a lot of zeros in his account balance.

“I rubbed my eyes thinking I was still dreaming. As soon as I realized I had actually won $1 million, I started screaming with excitement,” Bice told Michigan Lottery officials.

To play, choose five numbers between one and 69 for the white balls, then choose a number between one and 26 for the red Powerball.

However, the big jackpot is won by matching all five white balls in any order, including the red Powerball.

WAYS TO EARN

The Lottery will place self-service kiosks in 19 Walmart stores in Michigan.

Each machine will allow players to purchase instant and draw games and redeem Michigan Lottery coupons.

Lottery games can also be purchased at any of the other 10,500 stores throughout the state.

“Placing self-service lottery machines in Walmart stores will not only provide convenience to players, but will also help us achieve our goal of maximizing our contribution to the state’s School Aid Fund,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli .

Another lottery winner took home the $2 million Powerball jackpot after buying my ticket at a cigar store.

Additionally, a New York woman stopped at a gas station and ended up winning $1 million on a scratch-off ticket.
