“I’m very happy,” said the winner as she claimed her prize on Tuesday.

“I couldn’t believe it – I’ve never seen so many zeros before.”

The mother of two was the last winner of the April 24 Lotto America drawing and chose to keep her identity anonymous when claiming her prize.

She purchased her ticket at Cub Foods in Coon Rapids, which means they also won a small prize.

When purchasing the ticket, she decided to use her family’s birth dates to decide the numbers, which resulted in a large payment.

However, she quickly realized that she wouldn’t be able to keep all the money she earned.

Anyone who wins more than $5,000 while playing the Minnesota Lottery will have to pay 31.25% in federal and state taxes.

The prize winner has to give up almost a million dollars because the state considers it income.

However, the lucky player doesn’t seem to care about this at all.

The first thing she plans to do is see her mother in Southeast Asia.

‘I came out and cried’, says lottery player who won US$1 million after receiving an intriguing message on the app – the victory came on a perfect day

“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen her,” she said.

“I’m looking forward to flying back home. I have a big family that I haven’t seen in over a decade.”

DOUBLE YOUR LUCK

The lucky mom isn’t the only person who had the chance to make it big.

Scottie Grant won the lottery twice in six months.
