But there is a problem, according to TODAY.

Customers must be a member of Burger King’s Royal Perks loyalty program to earn free food.

“Birthday gifts” for fans include favorites like the Original Crispy Chicken Sandwich and the Whopper Jr.

Orders can be made online or through the fast-food chain’s app.

Burger King also announced that it would debut a new snack for the occasion.

Their new Birthday Pie Slice dessert is a creamy creation fans won’t want to miss.

Birthday cake-flavored pie filling sits atop a crispy pie crust in this limited-time dessert.

The sweet snack is topped with cake pieces and whipped topping as well.

June 1st is Burger King’s official birthday and when guests can get a free piece of cake.

CELEBRATING DECADES OF HISTORY

Burger King leaders reflected on what the most important elements of the chain’s longevity have been over the years in an anniversary press release.

“While much has changed over the past 70 years, we have always remained committed to our guests,” said Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer for Burger King North America, in a press release.

The two oldest points in pride for the chain are its flame-grilling technique and its motto of letting guests “have it their way,” he said.

He added that Burger King has remodeled and modernized restaurants in many ways since its founding.

“As we celebrate our milestone anniversary in June, we are proud of the legacy this brand has built and stand on, and we are so grateful to our royal guests who made it all possible,” he continued.

MCDONALDS GIVES YOU A TIP

Burger King isn’t the only popular burger joint that will attract customers next month with great promotions.

Its main competitor, McDonald’s, will offer customers a $5 meal for most of July, according to the Associated Press.

The deal would give customers a four-piece order of the McNugget, fries, a small drink and a McDouble burger or a McChicken sandwich, a person familiar with the deal who was not authorized to discuss its details told the AP.

McDonald’s representatives would not officially confirm whether the deal was in the works or when it would be active, but the source cited a June 25 start date.

“We know how much it means to our customers when McDonald’s delivers meaningful value and communicates it through national advertising,” McDonald’s said in a statement Wednesday.

Menu offerings cost significantly more on average than the $5 meal offering, offering fans a significant discount.
