A MICHIGAN man can consider himself the luckiest after a surprise win.

What he originally believed to be a $4 Lucky For Life prize turned out to be a $25,000 a year lottery prize for Life.

Daryl Tilley, 57, won the grand prize when his Lucky For Life ticket matched the five white balls drawn on March 25. The winning numbers were: 1, 4, 31, 39 and 47.

He bought his winning Michigan Lottery ticket online website.

“Every now and then I go online and buy a Lucky for Life ticket,” Tilley said.

“The day after the drawing, I received an email about a prize and assumed it was a $4 win.

“When I logged into my account, I saw an amount much larger than that!” he said to MI Lottery Connection. “I showed it to my wife and it took me a while to convince her it was real. We were both stunned!”

Tilley recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim her prize, according to the outlet.

He opted for a one-time payment of $390,000 rather than annuity payments of $25,000 a year for 20 years or for life, whichever is longer.

He plans to use his earnings to go on vacation and save the rest.

GET LUCK FOR LIFE IN MICHIGAN

For just $2 per bet, Lucky For Life offers lottery players the chance to win prizes ranging from $3 to a lifetime of cash.

To win the top prize of $1,000 per day for life, players must match all five winning numbers from 1 to 48, plus a Lucky Ball from one to 18.

Matching all five winning numbers without the Lucky Ball wins $25,000 a year for life.

The draws take place at 10:38 pm every day.

In the meantime, tickets can be purchased at lottery outlets across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com.

Another Michigan man won $250,229 in the lottery without even buying a ticket.

Christopher Cassel of Fowlerville, Michigan, about 30 miles east of Lansing, was the winner of the Michigan Lottery’s BIG CA$H Second Chance Jackpot game.
