What is the Cheez-In Diner and where is it located?

Cheez-It has opened the Cheez-In Diner for a limited time.

The popular snack brand announced the venture in a Press release on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Located in the “iconic town” of Woodstock, New York – two hours from New York City and “set among the picturesque paths of the Catskill Mountains” – the restaurant at 261 Tinker Street invites diners to stop by for a “FOMO-inducing experience.” for dinner.”

“We saw how far our adventure-seeking Cheez-It fans would go when they wanted. Needed. Cheez-It. last year by heading to our Joshua Tree Cheez-It Stop outpost,” said Senior Brand Director of Cheez -It’s Cara Tragseiler, according to the press release.

“So many fans have been suggesting where we should bring the next Cheez-It fun, and we knew we needed to go above and beyond – literally – to do it again,” she continued.

“That’s why this year we’re heading East, bringing this unique roadside experience with even more ways to enjoy our iconic cookies, solidifying our position as a fan-favorite snack across the country.”

According to the press release, Cheez-In Diner offers several free “first-of-its-kind attractions,” including the world’s first and only Cheez-It Jukebox, which is “the only jukebox that accepts Cheez-It cookies in lieu of coins to play their catalog of retro records.”

It also features “Instagram-worthy retro decor” that includes “walls filled with vintage Cheez-It memorabilia, iconic references from the ’60s music scene, and a red-hot vintage Cheez-It convertible parked outside waiting to be captured in your last selfie.”

Customers will also have access to a Cheez-It Taste-It station that offers “a wide selection of rare and fan-favorite flavors so you can mix and match your own cookie mix.”

Cheez-It also turned to social media to promote the pop-up restaurant.

In an Instagram post, the popular snack brand shared a video showcasing the restaurant’s attractions and menu items.

“Eat some of your favorite restaurant-inspired dishes with a Cheez-It twist, play some tunes on the only Cheez-It jukebox, and keep an eye out for some cool Cheez-It details,” the publish said, in part.

Cheez-In Diner’s menu offers several food items and even a cheese-centric drink.

According to the press release, it includes:

• Cheez-It Deluxe Milkshake: “Prepare your taste buds to Sip-It with this absurdly indulgent milkshake made with your favorite salty, cheesy snack. A creamy vanilla shake blended with Cheez-It cookies, a caramel rim and crushed Cheez-It cookie and topped with whipped cream and sprinkles and chocolate sauce, garnished with a chocolate-dipped Cheez-It cookie.”
• The Extra Cheezburger: “Want-It. Need-It. Smash-It. Eat our Cheez-It chili smashburger topped with lettuce, pickles and an Extra Big Cheez-It cookie.”
• The Big Grilled Cheez: “It’s hip to be square if you’re cracker-covered Texas toast, stuffed with chili and surrounded by a crunchy Cheez-It cracker crust.”
• Cheezy Chicky Trends: “Juicy chicken tenders breaded in original Cheez-It crackers. Season with hot, spicy seasoning and dip in warm honey or Hidden Valley Cheezy Ranch.”
• Mac and Cheez-It: “Pasta baked in a creamy White Cheddar Cheez-It Cookie Sauce with a crunchy White Cheddar Cheez-It Cookie Crumble on top.”
• Cheez-It Potato Chips: “No order is complete without these crispy fries tossed on crushed Cheez-It crackers. Choose from Original, White Cheddar, or Hot & Spicy seasoning and load it with melted chili sauce.”
• Cheez-It Cookie: “Tasty layers packed with Cheez-It cookies make up this healthy cookie. Butter with honey butter, drizzle with warm honey, or make a sandwich with our Cheezy Chicky Tendies – we won’t judge!”
• Sweet and Savory Cheezcake: “Is it cheesecake? Is it pie? Either way, it’s an absurdly creamy cheesecake dessert with a Cheez-It cookie pie crust topped with caramel and Extra Big Cheez-It cookies.”

How long will Cheez-In Diner be open?

The Cheez-In Diner will only be open for one week.

According to the press release, the restaurant opened at 4:00 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024, and will open at the same time from Tuesday, May 21 to Sunday, May 26.

Although it closes at 9pm Monday through Thursday, it will remain open until midnight during Memorial Day weekend.

“Friday through Sunday, we’ll be offering whimsical dishes with a retro twist from 4 p.m. to 12 p.m. ET and satisfy your late-night craving for something outrageously extravagant,” the press release states.
