“Now the rewards are worse. I doubt I’ll ever go back,” one person he wrote on Facebook.

“I had a free burger for my birthday and it was removed after the update. It was supposed to be good by the 25th”, commented another person.

“Ah, so you downgraded your reward system? You used to give a free burger after 10am…” commented a third person.

“Plus, you’ve eliminated the birthday burger if you order online. You guys used to be my favorite restaurant.

“You guys got new management and this is what happened?”

Red Robin announced that it made changes based on an internal survey conducted in 2023.

The new loyalty program will allow customers to earn one point for every dollar instead of just entrees.

Customers will now be able to earn a $10 reward for every 100 points earned.

“Our Red Robin Royalty members deserve to feel like royalty when they dine with us,” said Kevin Mayer, chief marketing officer at Red Robin in a recent Press release.

“This revamped loyalty program is the latest in a series of updates at Red Robin to enhance the guest experience through culinary innovation and excellent service, and now our members will be able to earn points faster along with other exclusive perks, allowing them to profit from your continued love for our delicious burgers, which is the number one request we hear.”

Program members will have the opportunity to get early access to menu items, exclusive items, free birthday burgers and more.

Customers could only earn points at Red Robin restaurants, the website or mobile apps.

Points cannot be accumulated on taxes, gift cards, donations, merchandise, catering, alcoholic beverages or third-party ordering sites.

Once the $10 reward is earned, it must be redeemed with an active account.

This reward cannot be combined with other offers.

US Sun has reached out to Red Robin for comment.

MAJOR UPDATE

McDonald’s is another restaurant that announced it would update its loyalty program.

The company announced that it will invest millions of dollars to improve its current program.

The announcement was made through a member made up of company executives and viewed by CNBC.

The restaurant will now add additional channels to allow customers to order online without downloading an app.

However, it is unclear whether this will be a worldwide change.

The company aims to reach 250 million active users by 2027.

It is also unclear when changes to orders might occur.
