“Well, it’s official. The Applebee’s on Tucker is officially closed,” former employee Wanda Yvette Daniels declared in a publish on Facebook.

The restaurant, about 20 miles northeast of Atlanta, was listed as permanently closed online.

And customers are still struggling to understand why.

“I had seen something online claiming Applebee’s was closing, but I thought it was a hoax,” one user wrote.

“Well, damn, and I was coming home next month and thinking about going there [haven’t] it’s been there a long time,” said another.

“Really?” asked one user. “We just did a 2/$25 Togo two weeks ago.”

However, your guesses are as good as anyone’s – not even employees were informed before the closure.

“They don’t want anyone to give up before they close the doors, so it’s all secret,” commented one user.

“I hate this for you and your coworkers,” wrote another.

Daniels said Applebee’s wants her to work at a different location on Memorial Drive in Decatur, Georgia.

Legendary restaurant and Chili’s rival closes abruptly after 27 years – customers were taken by surprise

“I wouldn’t survive in that store,” she said.

Located in the Cofer Crossing shopping center off Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker Applebee’s was independently owned.

Built in 1998, the site occupied about 5,000 square feet, according to DeKalb County documents obtained by Tomorrow’s News Today – Atlanta.

It was located close to stores like Kroger and Walmart.

The future of this site remains unconfirmed.

SUSPENDED SERVICE

This isn’t the first Applebee’s location to face the hurdle.

And Applebee’s announced 35 expected closures earlier this year.

Meanwhile, rumors about Chili’s permanent closure have been debunked, with the parent company insisting it’s not true.

Tijuana Flats confirmed that 11 locations are closing across Florida and customers are not taking it well.

Additionally, Jerry’s Sno Cones has said goodbye to its Memphis restaurant.
