COSTCO shoppers are undecided whether they want to try a new lobster product unlike anything they’ve seen before.
Bulk store fans can now purchase Naked Lobster brand shelled lobster meat in 2-ounce, 6.5-ounce packages for just $39.99.

But many Costco shoppers on social media said they’re not sure they want to try the strange-looking dish, according to the Daily Mail.
Naked Lobster specializes in offering customers shelled lobster meat – and displaying it as if it were still there.
The company also adds medallions of seasoned butter to the packaging of each crustacean, making it easier to obtain a tasty sauce to accompany your meal.
I sell the red without the shell and pink the meat next to the butter coins disturbed some Costco customers, however.
“Ah, my eyes,” wrote a user on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
“This is horrible,” added another.
“This feels wrong,” said a third.
The positioning of the side dishes was the problem for some buyers.
“The placement of the butter is suspicious,” added another.
“What are the two round things?” someone asked.
Others said they were simply happy not to have to worry about shaving the meat themselves.
“I would eat that! When I catch lobster, I always ask them to remove the shell. When they leave that little piece stuck together I always end up fighting with it!” one fan wrote.
“All meat, delicious,” added another.
‘FANTASTIC’ FOR LOBSTER ROLL
TikTok influencer The Sushi Guy (@fotogami) tested New product from Costco in a recent review.
“I know it sounds a little scary, kind of like Dr. Zoidberg,” he says on clipcomparing meat to a character from the adult cartoon Futurama.
The placement of the butter is sus.

“Tons of pressure on the lobster kills it instantly, and its shine comes straight out of the shell,” he explains to viewers.
“If you overcook it, it becomes very rubbery. If you undercook it, it becomes too slimy,” he said as he tasted the finished product.
He recommended following the included instructions and boiling the lobster in the bag with the butter.
“In the bag, you’re making homemade sous vide—it’s fantastic.”
His only criticism was that the lobster was a little salty, he said — which was perfect for using the meat in a lobster roll.
“I’m going to give it an 8 out of 10,” he said at the end of the video.
