TIME is running out for Americans to claim free money in a data breach settlement.
A casino has filed a lawsuit over compromised data, and class members could receive a payout of up to $10,500.
Crystal Bay Casino has agreed to pay $675,000 to settle allegations that the company failed to protect consumers from a 2023 data breach.
According to the lawsuit, the casino failed to secure its systems, allowing hackers to access personal information of current and former customers.
Class members argued that Crystal Bay could have deflected the data compromise by implementing greater cybersecurity measures.
The company did not admit wrongdoing, but agreed to payment to resolve the complaints.
