A DISGUSTING new challenge has emerged online encouraging people to eat their Kit-Kats with ketchup.

The trend is going viral on TikTok, where videos are racking up millions of views, with some even comparing the combination to pineapple on pizza.

The challenge appears to have started in 2021, but has since resurfaced and gone viral again.

But this time the trend got so big that even Heinz and Kit-Kat jumped on the bandwagon and provoked a new ketchup-flavored chocolate bar on Instagram.

KitKat too posted a video of employees testing the ketchup-chocolate combination for themselves, receiving mixed reviews from both employees and commenters.

“Jail. Now,” read one of the top comments.

Even Kit-Kat’s own Canadian page was confused.

“Is everything okay there?” they asked in the comments.

One influencer, One Big Pike, posted his reaction to trying the unlikely combination on TikTok, calling it “surprisingly good.”

“Does the government know about this?” he asked.

“It looks illegal, it should be illegal,” he continued.

“Why does this work?”

Fans mourn the discontinuation of the KitKat chocolate bar they’ll never see again – and say it was ‘the best’

Some people, however, seem more concerned about the way people bite into Kit-Kat rather than stopping it as intended.

“The way you ate should be illegal,” one viewer sarcastically responded.

“Why did you bite that shit like an apple?” asked another.

But even though this combination is unconventional, many people on social media say it works.

It turns out that eating tomatoes with chocolate isn’t as crazy as it seems, according to Foodie.

The salty flavor of the tomato, derived from the berries, pairs well with the sweet cocoa of the KitKat.

Just like sweet and savory treats, the two opposing flavors come together in unexpected harmony.

At least for some, as not everyone found the combination delicious.

One influencer, TrishDoesThings, gave the snack a try and hated it so much she had to spit it out.

“No thanks,” she said as she spat out the combo, giving it -10 out of 10.
