The lucky numbers were: 28-38-52-54-68 with a Powerball of 8.

Anyone who played the lottery in Arizona last Saturday should double-check to make sure they are not holding the golden ticket.

Arizona Lottery officials said the ticket was purchased at a Circle K convenience store on Main Street in Springerville — about 200 miles east of Phoenix.

No player matched enough numbers to win the $1 million prize or the $161 million jackpot.

The Arizona Lottery reported that five people won the $500 prize and another 23 received $100 each.

Since players have yet to match all of the winning Powerball numbers in any of last week’s drawings, the current jackpot is $206 million.

If someone has a big hit, they could walk away with almost $100 million in a one-time payment.

Another Arizona winner is set to take home $10,000 after hitting it big in the Mega Millions drawing the same night.

That large ticket was purchased at a Safeway gas station in Goodyear — about 20 miles west of the state capital, according to the local NBC affiliate. KPNX.

HOW TO WIN POWERBALL

Powerball drawings take place three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Each ticket costs $2 and allows players to select five numbers between 1 and 69, along with one Powerball number between 1 and 29.

The Powerball jackpot increases with each drawing until someone takes home the grand prize.

Players can also opt for a Power Play for an additional $1, multiplying the prize they receive by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times.

O chances of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338.

Lottery players will have another chance to win the jackpot on Saturday, June 8th.

Lottery winnings: lump sum or annual fee?

Players who win big on lottery tickets typically have a choice to make: lump sum or annual fee?

Both payment methods can affect how much money you receive from your prize.

Annuities are paid slowly in increments, usually over 30 years.

Lump sums are paid all at once, but in smaller amounts since taxes are withheld all at once. This means 24% of your prize goes to Uncle Sam immediately. Many states also tax earnings.

Annuities can give winners time to create the financial infrastructure necessary to receive a life-changing amount of money, but lump sums have the advantage of being taxed only once.

It’s also worth considering inflation when making a choice, as payments don’t adjust to the value of a dollar. This means you will likely receive less valuable money at the end of an annuity.

Each state and game pays prizes differently, so it’s best to check with your state’s lottery to confirm payment policies. A financial advisor can also help you weigh the pros and cons of each option.

Experts have differing opinions on the possibility of take the fixed amount or take the annual fee.

MORE JACKPOT WINNERS MISSING

There are dozens of other unclaimed jackpot prizes waiting to be claimed across the country.

California officials advised players to check their Powerball tickets for the June 5 drawing.

A winning ticket worth $600,000 purchased at a 7-Eleven has not yet been redeemed.

And authorities are hoping a lucky gambler from Louisiana will come forward to claim a $150,000 prize in a drawing later that night.

The ticket came from a truck stop in Houma, an hour south of New Orleans, with the winning numbers: 08-44-45-51-69-12.

Powerball players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
