ARBY’S is closing a store in California, according to a Facebook announcement.
The owners said they are looking for a new and “exciting” offering to replace the fast food chain.
Arby’s closed its location at Edwards Air Force Base on Friday, June 7.
The location is in the California desert, at the US military base commissary.
Now, the base’s food court has a hole in it.
There are plans to fill that gap, although it’s unclear what will take Arby’s place.

Fans learned of Arby’s closing through a Facebook post.
Edwards AFB Exchange, which manages the food court, posted about the closure on June 2.
“We look forward to housing an exciting new food option for this space,” they said.
“In the meantime, enjoy the other food court options at Exchange, Taco Bell, Popeyes and Charleys.”
The post received several “sad” and “angry” reactions.
WHAT NOW?
Exchange did not reveal when a replacement vendor would be announced.
Loyal Arby’s fans will have to travel off base to get the chain’s classic steaks.
The next closest location is Palmdale, about a 40-minute drive away.
To the north is an Arby’s location in Ridgecrest.
It is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes by car from the base.

ARBY NEWS
The Edwards location isn’t the only Arby’s location that has closed its doors for good.
A Pennsylvania Arby’s recently closed, leaving a sign on the door to thank customers.
“Thank you for all the years we spent together…hope to see you all soon,” the sign read.
Some local residents weren’t upset at all about the shutdown.
“Wow, they had the worst customer service at that location,” one wrote online.
Arby’s closed 39 locations last year.
A former CEO blamed high prices for the business downturn.
