TACO Bell is adding a new item to its menu after positive results during testing in a single US city.
Fans of the fast food chain are eagerly awaiting the debut of the savory snack on the menu.
Last fall, Taco Bell tested a new food item at its locations in and around Indianapolis, Indiana, according to a local Fox News station.
Cheesy Street Chalupas are a “tasty street-inspired snack” and are similar to Taco Bell’s Quesalupas.
The new product is made with soft shells stuffed with mozzarella and pepper jack cheese, as well as chopped onion, cilantro, jalapeños and ranch.
Customers can choose between steak and chicken.
Each order of Cheesy Street Chalupas comes with two and costs between $5.49 and $5.99 depending on location, per Taco Bell.
JULY MENU
On an Instagram publish last week, a food blogger (@markie_devo) shared the news that Taco Bell would be launching Cheesy Street Chalupas on its July menu.
He stated that the new menu item will be available on July 18.
Lovers of the Mexican fast food chain were quick to express their enthusiasm for the new item.
“Taco Bell is going crazy! I love it!!!!” wrote one fan.
“Taco Bell is just taking all my money right now,” said another.
“Ahh, I can’t wait! Chalupas are my all-time favorite!” wrote a third.
The US Sun has reached out to Taco Bell for comment.
