A WALMART shopper is feeling slighted after being overcharged to check out faster.

They said signing up for a Walmart+ feature was a total mistake.

In a Reddit post on Walmart subredditone customer vented about their experience with a specific perk of the store’s premium membership.

“I just bought a year of Walmart+ because it is listed as [a] ‘to benefit.’ I was excited to use it. F*ck me, right?” he titled the post.

The user explained that Walmart’s long lines often keep them away from the store.

One thing seemed like an obvious solution to combat this.

After seeing an ad for a faster checkout experience with Walmart’s Scan & Go program, they signed up immediately.

Scan & Go is described by Walmart as a timely resource for its shoppers.

The contactless option allows customers to shop and complete purchases using their phone in store and was created with the aim of saving customers time.

But it was a mistake according to one customer.

“Even if you qualify, the Faster Checkout program is not available to use at any Walmart, like, anywhere,” the Redditor explained.

‘Never shop at that chain store again,’ warns Walmart shoppers as they are forced to pay a subscription to use self-checkout

They also said that using Scan & Go makes it “actually harder” to check because there are only one or two stations designated for the program.

This meant they had to “wait in a super long line behind the Spark drivers.”

Additionally, they described the experience of being turned away by Walmart staff when asking about the Scan & Go protocol.

“The working associate had to ask for a manager because he didn’t know what Scan & Go was,” they wrote.

They claimed the manager told them they were the only person she had seen using the device in over a month.

“Can I get my money back?” asked the customer, pondering why the resource is offered if it is not being used.
