Last few hours to get $30 Victoria’s Secret coupons and Bath & Body Works deal — but only if purchased at set time

Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works SELECT shoppers can get up to $30 in coupons from a receipts deal.

Consumers who shopped at Victoria’s Secret, Pink or Bath & Body Works stores may be eligible to receive cash.

A class action lawsuit alleged that the companies violated the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act by printing receipts that showed more than the last five digits of card numbers.

Buyers say receipts put their information at risk.

The companies denied any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to settle the lawsuit.

Class members who purchased at any of the stores between May 10, 2021 and August 8, 2021 are eligible to file a claim.

Those who file a claim will be able to get two $15 vouchers if they make a qualifying purchase at any of the three stores.

Consumers who purchased items at each store will still only receive two vouchers.

Individuals who have a Victoria’s Secret or Bath & Body Works branded credit card will receive a $5 voucher automatically credited to their account.

The complaint form must be submitted by post or via settlement website until July 16th.

The settlement’s final approval hearing will be on Oct. 24, and it’s unclear when the vouchers will be distributed afterward.

What is a class action settlement?

Class action lawsuits offer groups of people, or “classes,” a way to come together in court.

These lawsuits are often filed by one or a few people who allege that a company or other entity has harmed a large group of people.

When a lawsuit becomes a class action, it extends to all “class members,” or people who may have similar claims to those who filed the lawsuit.

Companies often settle class actions – offering payment to class members who typically waive their right to pursue legal action by accepting money.

These payment agreements often include statements from the defendant denying wrongdoing. Companies tend to settle class actions to avoid the costs of further litigation.

Pollution, discrimination or false advertising are some examples of what can lead to a class action lawsuit at a company’s door.

However, residents must apply for the credit.

“This historic effort will significantly reduce child poverty in Colorado, increase incomes for working families, and help millions of Coloradans who are feeling the biggest impacts of the cost of living in our state,” Rep. Chris DeGruy Kennedy said in a statement.

A deal regarding fingerprint scanning offers payments of $330.

Additionally, one program offers $1,300 in free money if people meet three criteria.
