A POPULAR pizzeria found in twelve states is officially losing a location.
Coal brick oven pizza lovers living in South Carolina will have to look elsewhere for another slice of pie.
A Grimaldi’s Pizzeria restaurant in Greenville has closed its doors for good.
The franchise located on Woodruff Road in Magnolia Park, South Carolina, gave Southerners a taste of New York charm with its city-themed experience.
But he suffered without the knowledge of his fans.
And as a result closed the place in silence.
“We appreciate the community’s support and value every member of the Grimaldi family, including our guests,” the Grimaldi’s South Carolina location told the local Fox affiliate. WHEN.
“This was a purely commercial decision.”
The Greenville location was one of two Grimaldi’s in South Carolina. The other is located in Mount Pleasant.
South Carolinians still craving Gramaldi’s aren’t completely out of luck.
The state’s other location, located in Mount Pleasant, remains open.
There are 44 Grimaldi’s Pizzeria locations owned and operated by national companies and three franchised locations, for Grimaldi.

Speaking of slice store closures, Pizza Hut recently closed eight locations in two states.
Shutdowns are happening in Indiana and Ohio, according to previous reporting by The US Sun.
“Some locations in Columbus, OH have closed, but Pizza Hut remains committed to providing excellent service and products to our valued customers in the area,” Pizza Hut told The US Sun.
“We are working to transition the Indiana locations and expect many of them to reopen soon.”
Pizza Hut closures in Indiana include:

- 250 W Ridge Rd, Griffith
- 7878 East Ridge Road, Hobart
- Avenida Laporte, 2510, Valparaíso

Meanwhile, Mod Pizza confirmed that 27 locations would close in April in California.
