AN INFLATION-weary shopper revealed he would abandon a store after realizing another grocer had lower prices.

The shopper revealed that he decided to switch from Kroger to Walmart because the megachain lowered prices on all essential items.

“I’ve been shopping in @Walmart and they lowered the prices”, Theresa (@H2002Teresa) wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“I can’t afford to shop in @kroger but it is very expensive. #WalmartStore

The tweet comes more than a month after Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said the company would “lead on price.”

“Our reversal count has increased and customers are responding to our price leadership,” he said.

This isn’t the first time a customer has been furious about rising prices at the food retailer.

The angry person shared a publish on Facebook, written like a formal letter.

“Dear Kroger, your pre-authorization policy for groceries ordered online needs to be reviewed and updated,” the customer began.

“When I read it, there was a pre-authorization of the quantity of supplies, from what I understand. I’ve noticed this several times.

“For example, if my grocery order is for $250 and I have $50 in digital coupons, it will always charge the $250 and when it goes live it will charge the correct amount of $200,” they explained.

However, the reason for the complaint was due to additional charges that the buyer never agreed to.

“Show me the box I checked [says] you can take $199.47 towards my groceries and then an additional $227,” they wrote.
