I had a tarot reading where I was told I would win money soon – just hours later I won $500,000 in the lottery

A 59-year-old woman won half a million dollars on a scratch card after a hopeful Tarot card reading.

The woman, from Michigan, said that during a recent tarot card reading she was told that money would come into her life soon.

“I always told the people in my life that one day I would win the lottery,” explained the woman who preferred to remain anonymous, according to the NBC affiliate. KPLCTV.

“Once a week I buy some instant games and I usually always buy them from the same store. The day I won, I was on my way to a Tarot reading, so I stopped at a different store, bought some tickets and put them in my bag.”

She told the outlet that she was anticipating how money would come into her life, but the lottery tickets in her purse never crossed her mind.

“Later that night, I scratched the tickets. I saw the star symbol and thought, ‘Well, at least I got my money back,’ assuming it would be a $10 win. To my surprise, I revealed a $10 prize. 500,000”, she remembered.

“I tried to stay calm, but I knew at that moment that this had changed my life!”

The excited new winner plans to pay off her car, go on a cruise with a friend and invest the rest of her winnings.

HOW TO PLAY

The newest winner won in the Michigan Lottery’s 50x Wild Time game.

50x Wild Time scratch-off tickets cost $10 and winnings range from $10 to $500,000, according to the Michigan Lottery website.

Players must cross out the five winning numbers and hope that one of them matches the other 20 numbers hidden under a “W”.

If one of your numbers matches the Win All Bonus, you will win all 23 prizes shown on the ticket.

There are also $50, $100 and $500 bonus boxes to scratch off.

When a player finds a “W” under a bonus box, they win the prize.

If you find the star symbol, you automatically win the corresponding prize.

If you find a 50x symbol, you win 50 times that prize.

A South Carolina man won $300,000 on a Max Money ticket after changing tactics.

He initially purchased a ticket at a gas station in Sumter, about 40 miles east of Columbia, according to a news release from the South Carolina Education Lottery.

His first ticket was unlucky, but instead of leaving the store, the player changed his strategy and bought a ticket from another lottery.

The second ticket won him one of the main prizes; the odds of his victory were one in 936,000.

“That surprised me. I paid for my house,” he said.

The gas station where he purchased the ticket received $3,000 for selling the winning ticket.
