WALMART admitted that a Keurig box a customer received from an online order was in poor condition.
The Keurig box sent from Walmart was badly dented and had several holes in it that someone tried to cover with tape.
An X user, formerly Twitter, Kimberly C (@quimbyjo) posted a photo of the messy box and called out Walmart.
“OMG @Walmart – do better,” Kimberly said in the post.
Kimberly said the cable was also outside the box and the wires were exposed, causing danger.
“More than two inches of the cable was exposed, so if anyone had plugged that in, they would have been electrocuted,” Kimberly said.
Kimberly noted in her post how she attempted to return the damaged Keurig and was denied.
‘DISTURBING’
She recommends that Walmart have a better policy to avoid this situation entirely.
“Also, back up what you allow to be sold on your app to your plus members – they wouldn’t trade that,” Kimberly added.
Walmart responded to Kimberley’s post and insisted that the situation be investigated.
“This is extremely disturbing, Kimberly,” Walmart said.
“Let’s investigate this matter together. Please message us with your order details for further assistance.”
Kimberly responded to Walmart and posted a photo of the bad cable.
The retailer suggests it has a somewhat lenient return policy on its website.
But that doesn’t match what happened to Kimberly.
“Returns are available on almost everything Walmart sells,” Walmart’s return policy said.
