A POPULAR furniture store is closing in Washington, offering customers 70% off all its fine rugs this Independence Day.

A Basset Furniture franchisee is closing its store in Redmond, Washington, 25 miles east of Seattle, after more than two decades in business.

It announced 70% off “ALL” its fine rugs on July 4, 2024, which the store claims will be its last.

Additionally, the store states that shoppers only have Sunday, July 7, 2024, to make the most of this opportunity.

“We are closing this store forever! Until July 7th, you can negotiate your best deal,” the store said on its Facebook page.

‘END OF AN ERA’

Although it did not disclose the reason for the closure, the store has been trying to liquidate its assets since the announcement last April.

The store has a 20,000 square meter showroom, offering a wide selection of furniture and mattresses that will be on sale at up to 65%,” he said. in a statement.

It’s unclear how the store closure will affect the brand’s overall performance in the US.

NO NEW STORES FOR 2024

In its latest available quarterly report, Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc. reported an operating loss of $2.4 million “in the challenging sales environment.”

“There are currently no new corporate-owned stores planned for 2024, although we are conducting due diligence in several markets,” he said.
