MCDONALDS has announced a new line of anime-themed sauces to help spice up any Happy Meal.
The new line of Japanese-influenced sauces includes a Special Grade Garlic Sauce, set to launch under the Golden Arches on July 9.

Jujutsu Kaisen, a supernatural anime show, serves as inspiration for this new line and characters from the show can be seen on every package of the new sauce.
McDonald’s Japan Black will contain “notes of garlic and soy sauce, balanced with a light spicy sweetness,” a Press release for the company said.
The packaging features eight different lid designs with popular Jujutsu Kaisen characters on each package.
Jujutsu Kaisen is an anime series based on the Japanese manga series by Gege Akutami and Ballad Kitaguni.
The action-packed show follows a high school student who suddenly becomes host to an evil spirit, forcing him to navigate the world of witchcraft.
Since its debut in 2020, the program has already had two seasons and can be found on Netflix or CrunchyRoll.
Some featured characters include Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Suguru Geto.
Additionally, customers who purchase the limited-edition garlic sauce with McNuggets or any other McDonald’s meal can unlock a 30-day free trial of the streaming service. Crispy Roll.
Although McDonald’s new sauces will add some flavor to McDonald’s meals this summer, not all fans were pleased with this announcement.
McDonald’s posted a photo of the new special grade garlic sauce on its Instagram with the caption “So which one are you trying to get on 7/9?”
Some followers were overjoyed with the news.
“I’LL GET THEM ALL,” one customer boldly commented.
Others are wondering if sauces will help solve all their problems instead of therapy.
“If I combine gojo sauce and geto sauce, it will solve all my problems,” said one customer.
Despite the excitement of some, most followers expected a different announcement.
“Bro, stop grimacing already,” begged one customer.
Last summer, McDonald’s released a limited edition Grimace Shake to celebrate one of the company’s iconic mascots, Grimace.
The purple fruit-flavored shake took the nation by storm last summer during its limited release from June 12 to July 23, 2023. McDonald’s lovers touted their love not just for the shake, but for Grimace himself.
Those who missed the launch of the grimace shake are now begging for the shake to return this summer.
“My mind to this day: Damn, I never tried that Grimace Shake. I really wanted one,” a user posted in X.
Love for Grimace went so far that McDonald’s even released a special Grimace holiday sweater.
New McDonald’s sauces
McDonald’s will launch Jujutsu Kaisen sauces on July 9th.
“Inspired by McDonald’s Japan Black Garlic Sauce, Special Grade Garlic Sauce introduces a new arc to our sauce lineup, containing notes of garlic and soy sauce, balanced with a light tangy sweetness,” a press release for the new sauces said.
Each sauce will be branded with a different character from the action anime series Jujustsu Kaisen.
