Customers can receive their digital pickup orders via the drive-thru route.

There are 811 Chipotle locations with Chipotlanes, but the company expects to surpass 1,000 this year.

Chipotle has 3,437 stores nationwide and will likely open between 228 and 252 Chipotlane stores this year, according to Diving in a restaurant.

A location has opened in Rock Hill, South Carolina that locals say has a “slightly different feel” to its design.

“They did a beautiful job in this store. It complements the area”, he wrote a person on Facebook.

“I passed by this place a few weeks ago. I’m kind of enjoying that these restaurants have gotten to the point where they look like they can deliver to filler locations, like prefab storage container cubes,” commented another.

CONSTRUCTION BEGINS

“[We] we will continue to see very strong results as Chipotlanes drives higher productivity, margins and returns on new restaurants,” CEO Brian Niccol said during an earnings call in February.

Chipotle CFO Jack Hartung said high interest rates and delays in permits, inspections and utility installations have slowed construction.

“If we can get some break in terms of timelines with developers moving a little bit faster with local authorities in terms of utilities, in terms of licensing, if that were a little bit quicker, we could actually get to that clip a little bit faster. early,” Hartung said.

“But we built exactly the same extended schedule that we see today with the current very robust inventory. And that will bring us, if not quite, very close to that 10% number.”

Chipotle is bold about this,’ fans say as brand responds to claims workers were told to fill bowls louder if they were being filmed

PANIC PORTION

Chipotle was criticized by fans who said the store was skimping on meal ingredients.

Several customers said they barely filled bowls and burritos and that filming workers forced them to add more scoops of meat and toppings.

“People on social media have been dragging Chipotle so hard that a memo was allegedly sent to Chipotle employees instructing them to fill bowls as full as possible if anyone has their phone in their hand or is filming while ordering,” he wrote business and investment influencer, Alex Friedman, on X.

He said the company doesn’t want “bad publicity or reviews,” so employees will reap more if they are being filmed.

What is the viral “Chipotle phone method”?

Videos of Chipotle customers filming workers placing their orders have been flooding social media.

Chipotle reportedly sent a memo to employees telling them to fill burrito bowls to the brim when a customer was filming while placing an order, according to business and investing influencer Alex Friedman in X.

Videos were shared across platforms of customers filming their orders as staff piled their bowls with their chosen options.

There were some Edge cases where customers brought cameras, lighting and sound equipment to film the workers and get the most food in their bowls.

Niccol responded to the trend and said the situation was crazy to him because Chipotle’s portions have always been generous.

“We always want to give people big portions that make them excited about food,” he said Fortune.

“If you want to double the amount of meat you have to pay for it, but our goal is to get people really excited about what I believe is really delicious food.

“It actually kind of upsets me when people, frankly, do this video thing… It’s a little rude to our team members and, you know, with our team members, their desire is to give the our customer a great experience.”
