A WALMART shopper says she still hasn’t received a refund for the month since she was overcharged.
The shopper used her SNAP EBT card – formerly known as a food stamp card – to make her purchase.
She expressed her frustration in X about being overcharged, but didn’t say how much.
She is now waiting for a refund that would normally take a few hours.
“Buyers check their receipts carefully,” the user said.
“I was overcharged on my purchases 1 month ago and I’m still waiting for my EBT card to be credited.”

The shopper noted that it should only take three hours for a SNAP EBT refund, citing the Walmart website.
“I’ve been waiting for 1 month and a day to be exact. I sent proof and everything,” she added.
The US Sun has reached out to Walmart for comment.
DEADLINES FOR REFUNDS AT WALMART
Walmart has set different refund deadlines depending on the payment method, according to your official website.
Of all the payment options, however, refunds via SNAP EBT cards are among those that should take the fastest processing time, or a maximum of three hours.
Other payment methods are expected to take longer.
For example, getting a refund on a prepaid debit or credit card can take up to 30 days.
What to do if you are overwhelmed
If you’re overcharged at a retailer, there are a few ways you can get your money back.
If you notice that you have been charged more than the advertised or published price, inform an employee or manager.
Be sure to keep your receipt to show the price difference.
As a buyer, you are entitled to the lowest advertised, published or quoted price offered by the store.
If you are charged more than the advertised, posted or quoted price, inform the seller immediately. If the seller cannot help, speak to the manager.
Stores must honor the published price, even if the price has expired.
You can also dispute charges with your bank if you notice something suspicious on your statement.

DISCRIMINATION AGAINST FOOD VALUE
SNAP is the nation’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program that provides food benefits to low-income families.
The money helps families supplement their grocery budgets.
Walmart is among the top employers of SNAP recipients, according to a report from US Government Accountability Office.
The retail giant also has a specific discounted subscription promotion to help SNAP recipients called Walmart + Assistance.
In Washington, D.C., the Attorney General had to warn retailers to treat SNAP EBT cardholders the same way they would treat other paying customers.
DC Attorney General Brian L. Schwalb said district residents raised concerns during the holidays last year that some retailers were not following the law regarding processing SNAP purchases.
“Businesses should be aware that their SNAP license may be revoked if they do not comply with federal requirements,” he said.
“Customers who pay with SNAP cards must be treated the same as all other customers, and businesses that accept SNAP card payments must follow program-specific rules,” he added.
WALMART HAS BEEN ACCUSED OF OVERLOADING BEFORE
While not limited to SNAP card holders, The US Sun has written about customers who said they were overcharged by Walmart.
In one case in Colorado, the store explained that the excessive charge was just a “slip of the finger.”
In another case, a woman in California said the price was inflated by up to 40%, which she noticed while documenting her receipts.
