AMERICANS have the chance to claim hundreds of dollars if they recently purchased a Bosch microwave or oven.

According to the lawsuit, Bosch products were equipped with defective control panels, which caused the panels to fade, darken, become illegible, or fail completely.

The company denied these allegations.

Those who purchased a microwave/oven combo product manufactured by Bosch with model numbers HBL5751UC, HBL8751UC, HBLP751UC, HMC80151UC, HMC80251UC, and HMC87151UC are eligible to claim.

The court did not decide which side was right or whether the products were actually defective.

Instead, both parties agreed to reach a settlement to avoid the costs and risks of further litigation and to provide benefits to class members.

Those eligible to claim money were notified by mail or email.

FREE MONEY

Anyone who purchased a new Bosch product, purchased a new Bosch product as part of a home purchase or remodel, or received it as a gift should be eligible to claim money.

Those who qualify may receive a benefit per product they purchased or acquired.

Bosch will pay a maximum of US$2,000,000 (“Settlement Fund”) to reimburse documented direct costs.

Each claimant is entitled to US$400 per claim with proof that such direct costs are material.

Class members with future display failure are entitled to a three-year extended service plan benefit from the date of purchase, which means Bosch would replace any control panel that experiences display failure.

Americans can claim to be paid up to $10,000 in $6 million data breach settlements – and you only need to meet a single criteria

HOW TO CLAIM

Class members must submit a separate Claim Form for each defective Bosch product.

Members must also select the benefit they wish to receive when submitting the Claim Form.

To receive benefits, members must complete and submit a Claim Form, including required documentation, online or via U.S. mail.

The form must be submitted by September 3, 2024, in the case of a previous display failure or within 90 days after a future display failure occurs.

Those wishing to apply may also contact the Settlement Administrator by phone, email, or by writing to the Bosch Microwave/Oven Settlement Administrator, c/o CPT Group, Inc., 50 Corporate Park Irvine, CA 92606 , to request a Claim Form.

Any class member who fails to provide the information requested in the Claim Form or fails to submit or submit their documentary evidence will not be entitled to any compensation or benefits under this agreement.

If an eligible party wants to retain the right to sue the company or does not want to receive the benefits of this settlement, it must take steps to exclude itself from the settlement.

However, there are just hours left before Dollar General is forced to hand over millions of dollars to the Department of Labor.

And one furious shopper criticized the retailer for an unusual late-night self-checkout policy.
