MICROSOFT and cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike have issued fixes for the global outage that affected computers running the Windows operating system.

However, problems still persist as the outage has taken banking services offline.

The outage was attributed to a CrowdStrike software update, which resulted in many Windows systems experiencing the dreaded “Blue Screen of Death” (BSOD) during startup.

CrowdStrike Stock collapsed nearly 16.8% to $285.49 in premarket trading, while Microsoft shares fell about 2.3% to $430.28.
