The first winning ticket was from a $2 lottery game, which offers players three chances to become millionaires.

Each Lottery game enters players’ numbers into three separate draws – the Jackpot draw, Lotto Million 1 and Lotto Million 2, with the last two prizes being US$1 million.

The first unclaimed prize was won when a player matched all six numbers in the July 6 drawing to win $1 million in Lotto Million 1.

The winning numbers were 1, 8, 12, 16, 28 and 49.

The ticket was purchased at the ARCO gas station at 2758 West Peterson Avenue in the West Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.

The lucky Lottery ticket was purchased the same week another customer won $10,000 on an Instant Ticket.

“The news that we sold a winning $1 million lottery ticket came shortly after one of our regular customers won $10,000 on a scratch-off ticket right here in front of me,” ARCO owner Jackpaul Singh told Illinois Lottery.

“I can’t believe we had two big winners last week. I don’t know if it’s good karma or luck, but I’m excited to see more winners walk through our doors!

The second unclaimed prize was a $1.25 million jackpot from a $1 Lucky Day Lotto ticket.

The lucky person matched all five numbers – 13, 14, 32, 40 and 41 – of the July 10th draw.

I won the $170,000 lottery jackpot after playing online for 6 years – but my choice instantly cost me $48,000

The winning ticket was purchased at the Jewel-Osco supermarket at 45 South Plum Grove Road in Palatine, a Chicago suburb about 30 miles northwest of the city.

Both winners have one year from their respective draw dates to claim their prizes.

MORE MONEY

A $500,000 prize will soon expire if no one claims the winnings.

One lucky Powerball player from Colorado matched the Double Play numbers from the March 23rd drawing – 18, 24, 43, 46 and 47, with the Powerball number 11.

Double Play is a $1 add-on to a Powerball ticket that sends a player’s numbers to a second drawing to give them another chance to win.

Ways to Win

There are nine ways to win money in a Powerball game:

  • Match five white balls and the Powerball to win the grand prize.
  • Match five white balls to win $1 million.
  • Match four white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000.
  • Match four white balls to win $100.
  • Match three white balls and the Powerball to win $100.
  • Match three white balls to win $7.
  • Match two white balls and the Powerball to win $7.
  • Match a white ball and Powerball to win $4.
  • Match the Powerball to win $4.

The mystery winner purchased the winning Powerball ticket at a King Soopers grocery store in Arvada, about 12 miles from Denver.

The player has 180 days from the date of the draw to withdraw the money, until September 18th.

Other unclaimed lottery prizes remain up for grabs.

The $1 million jackpot prize has not yet been claimed and was sold in a supermarket.

Additionally, a $100,000 jackpot was unclaimed and the ticket was purchased at a Stop & Shop.
