The tickets, each worth US$50,000, have a total of US$150,000 up for grabs.

However, lottery winners have a limited time to claim their money.

One ticket, purchased at Brothers Food Mart in Metairie, outside New Orleans, expires September 14.

Another came from Lakeview Discount in New Orleans.

This expires on October 3rd.

The most recent prize of $50,000 came from Baton Rouge.

It expires in January 2025.

HOW IT WORKS

Powerball is a nationally designed game.

This means matching the numbers on your ticket to the randomly drawn balls.

Draws are held three times a week.

I won the $170,000 lottery jackpot after playing online for 6 years – but my choice instantly cost me $48,000

If some of your numbers match, you’re in luck.

Prizes vary depending on how many matches a winning ticket has.

Although the three Louisiana winners didn’t win the jackpot, they did manage to win thousands.

Tickets are normally $2 a piece.

Responsible gaming

Remember to gamble responsibly

LOTTO LUCK

The Louisiana winners aren’t the only ones who haven’t been able to claim their money quickly.

In Connecticut, several tickets remain unclaimed.

That includes a $255,000 prize won in an unusual lottery game that combines scratch-offs with draw games.

In Montana, an unclaimed prize of $150,000 came from a corner gas station.

A Virginia player recently won the lottery six times in one day.

Historic lottery winner Edwin Castro recently splurged on his 33rd birthday.
