“I said give it some time to make sure it’s charged.[ac]k refused. Call the number on b[ac]k of the card system says you can only do everything online.

“I went b[ac]When I went to the Walmart customer service desk, I was told there was nothing they could do and gave me some numbers to call. I was told to email a copy of the receipt and card and they will investigate why the card is bad[ee]and committed,” she continued.

“I waited patiently, but I didn’t hear b[ac]k or got a response to the email. At this point, I feel Walmart is responsible.

“They have a lot more money than me to play with. I’ve heard many stories about p[eo]simple purchase cards never get the money b[ac]k. I’m not giving up, but if anyone has any ideas on where I need to start, let me know.

“I’m going to turn him over to a lawyer before I let them get away with it. They lock the cigarettes to keep them safe.[eo]ple fr[om] stealing them. Keep the letters too.”

Another customer commented on her post with a similar story, writing: “This happened to us. We got a $100 Visa card for our birthday last year.”

“The last 4 numbers have been crossed out. I called the #, sent a few things and really gave up, but about 2 months later there was a new one in the mail.

“I know this is different than you spending your own $350, but it’s finally here.”

RECHARGEABLE DEBIT CARDS

Walmart sells a variety of reloadable debit cards for customers to purchase and receive cash back.

Prepaid or reloadable debit cards are not linked to a bank or credit union account.

They allow you to add money as needed and occasionally charge a fee to top up.

Some cards offer consumer protection if the card is lost or stolen.

Bank tips to avoid scams

As scams become more sophisticated with the use of artificial intelligence, it is important that you know how to identify them:

  • Be skeptical of online businesses that seem too good to be true, especially on social media.
  • Scammers often use tactics to make you panic so that you make quick decisions – be cautious if you are asked to take immediate action and check who has contacted you.
  • Chase Bank warns customers to “never return any unexpected funds without calling Chase first.”
  • Never send money to someone you’ve only spoken to online or on the phone, as this is likely a romantic scam.
  • Unless you know 100% who you are talking to, never give someone remote access to your device.
  • Never accept help from strangers at ATMs and always be careful when making withdrawals.
  • Do not send money or click on links that indicate you have won a prize.

WALMART CHALLENGES

Pamela isn’t the only Walmart customer to voice complaints online.

A customer who recently visited a mechanic at the store said employees failed to service her car because the horn didn’t work.

Walmart operates more than 2,500 Auto Car Centers across the U.S. where drivers can schedule appointments

“The company told me that this is not a policy and that they would call me back. They didn’t care,” the post wrote.

Walmart’s customer service account responded to the post asking for more information.

Another Walmart customer closed the store after an anti-theft policy ruined his experience.

They called the store a “sad situation” after an employee walked them to the self-checkout aisle.

The US Sun reached out to Walmart for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
